An Act To Provide For The Licensure Of Professional Music Therapists By The State Department Of Health; To Provide For Definitions; To Provide For The Establishment, Appointment And Membership Of The Music Therapy Advisory Committee; To Direct The Department To Seek The Advice Of The Advisory Committee For Issues Related To Music Therapy; To Provide For The Powers And Duties Of The Advisory Committee; To Provide That Beginning On January 1, 2026, No Person Without A License As A Professional Music Therapist Shall Use Any Title That Implies That The Person Is A Professional Music Therapist; To Prescribe Certain Requirements For Professional Music Therapists In The Provision Of Music Therapy Services; To Provide For Licensure Application And Qualifications For Licensure; To Provide For License Renewal; To Provide For Disciplinary Actions Against Licensees; To Direct The State Board Of Health To Set Certain Fees; To Create A Special Fund In The State Treasury; To Require That All Fees Collected By The Department Under This Act Shall Be Deposited Into The Special Fund; To Create The Mississippi Comprehensive Cancer Care Coalition Task Force To Develop And Propose A Plan For Addressing Cancer-related Issues In The State; To Provide For The Membership Of The Task Force; To Provide That The Task Force Shall Complete Its Plan For Addressing Cancer-related Issues In The State And Present The Plan, Together With Any Recommended Legislation, To The Legislature Not Later Than December 1, 2025; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Establish A Community Health Worker Licensure Program In The State Department Of Health; To Provide That The Division Of Medicaid Shall Seek Approval From The Centers For Medicare And Medicaid Services For A State Plan Amendment, Waiver Or Alternative Payment Model; To Provide Reimbursement For Certain Services Provided By Licensed Community Health Workers; To Provide That The Department Shall Be The Sole Licensing Body For The Community Health Worker Profession And Practice In Mississippi; To Provide That From And After January 1, 2026, No Person Shall Represent Himself Or Herself As A Community Health Worker Unless He Or She Is Licensed As Such In Accordance With The Requirements Of The Department; To Provide That The Department Shall Promulgate Rules Necessary To Carry Out The Provisions Of This Act, Including Establishing The Core Competencies Of Community Health Workers, The Community Health Worker Licensure Application And Renewal Process, Licensure Application And Renewal Fees, Procedures For Licensure Denial, Suspension And Revocation And The Scope Of Practice For Licensed Community Health Workers; To Provide That The Department Shall Approve Competency-based Training Programs And Training Providers, And Approve Organizations To Provide Continuing Education For Licensed Community Health Workers; To Amend Section 43-13-117, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide Medicaid Reimbursement For Certain Services Provided By Licensed Community Health Workers; To Extend The Date Of The Repealer On The Section; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 41-4-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That The Department Of Mental Health Shall Develop And Promulgate A Rating Scale With Performance Standards To Use In Performance Audits Of Community Mental Health Centers; To Require The Department To Develop And Promulgate The Performance Standards By June 30, 2026; To Provide That The Department Shall Begin Conducting Performance Audits During Fiscal Year 2027; To Require The Department To Perform A Performance Audit Of Each Community Mental Health Center At Least Once Every Two Years; To Provide That The Department Shall Place On A Six-month Probationary Period Regional Commissions Or Community Mental Health Centers That Do Not Achieve A Passing Score On A Performance Audit; To Provide That If The Community Mental Health Center Does Not Achieve A Passing Score On The Performance Audit After The Probationary Period, The Regional Commission Shall Replace The Community Mental Health Center's Executive Director And Any Other Officers Identified By The Department With Contractors; To Provide That The Contractor Or Contractors Shall Remain In Place Until The Department Determines That The Community Mental Health Center Has Attained Sustained Compliance With The Performance Standards; To Provide That No Rules, Regulations, Operational Standards, Performance Standards Or Other Standards Promulgated By The Board Of Mental Health Or The Department Shall Be Construed To Create A Cause Of Action; To Amend Section 27-104-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Exempt From Public Procurement Review Board Approval Any Personal Or Professional Services Contract Entered Into By The Department Of Mental Health In Carrying Out Its Responsibilities Set Forth In Section 41-4-7(mm); And For Related Purposes.
