"An Act extending the termination date of the Board of Certified Direct-Entry 1
Midwives; extending the termination date of the State Medical Board; and providing for 2

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 4
* Section 1. AS 08.03.010(c)(8) is amended to read: 5
(8) Board of Certified Direct-Entry Midwives (AS 08.65.010) - 6
June 30, 2027 [2023];

* Sec. 2. AS 08.03.010(c)(13) is amended to read: 8
(13) State Medical Board (AS 08.64.010) - June 30, 2031 [2023]; 9
* Sec. 3. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to 10
read: 11
EXEMPTION FROM AS 44.66.050(e). Sections 1 and 2 of this Act are exempt from 12
the provision of AS 44.66.050(e) that prohibits a bill from continuing or reestablishing more 13

RETROACTIVITY. If this Act takes effect after June 30, 2023, this Act is retroactive 3
