FOR AN ACT ENTITLED
"An Act extending the termination date of the Board of Certified Direct-Entry 1
Midwives; extending the termination date of the Board of Nursing; extending the 2
termination date of the Board of Parole; and providing for an effective date." 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 4
* Section 1. AS 08.03.010(c)(8) is amended to read: 5
(8) Board of Certified Direct-Entry Midwives (AS 08.65.010) - 6
June 30, 2031 [2025];

* Sec. 2. AS 08.03.010(c)(14) is amended to read: 8
(14) Board of Nursing (AS 08.68.010) - June 30, 2031 [2025]; 9
* Sec. 3. AS 44.66.010(a)(2) is amended to read: 10
(2) Board of Parole (AS 33.16.020) - June 30, 2029 [2025]; 11
* Sec. 4. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to 12
read: 13

* Sec. 5. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to 3
read: 4
RETROACTIVITY. If this Act takes effect after June 30, 2025, this Act is retroactive 5
to June 30, 2025. 6
* Sec. 6. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c). 7
