"An Act extending the termination date of the Board of Certified Direct-Entry 1
Midwives; extending the termination date of the Board of Nursing; extending the 2
termination date of the Board of Veterinary Examiners; extending the termination date 3
of the Board of Parole; and providing for an effective date." 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 5

(2) Board of Parole (AS 33.16.020) - June 30, 2029 [2025]; 1
* Sec. 5. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to 2
read: 3
EXEMPTION FROM AS 44.66.050(e). This Act is exempt from the provision of 4
AS 44.66.050(e) that prohibits a bill from continuing or reestablishing more than one board or 5
commission. 6
* Sec. 6. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to 7
read: 8
RETROACTIVITY. If this Act takes effect after June 30, 2025, this Act is retroactive 9
to June 30, 2025. 10
* Sec. 7. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c). 11
