13 Relating to Jackson County; to further provide for
14 the expense allowance and salary of the Sheriff of Jackson
15 County.
16 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
17 Section 1. Commencing on the first day of the month
18 after the effective date of act, the Sheriff of Jackson County
19 Shall be entitled to an additional expense allowance in the
20 amount of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) per annum, which
21 shall be in addition to all other expense allowances,
22 compensation, or salary provided by law. This expense
23 allowance shall be payable in equal monthly installments from
24 the general fund of the county.
25 Section 2. Beginning with the expiration of the term
26 of the incumbent sheriff, the annual salary for the Sheriff of
27 Jackson County shall be increased by fifteen thousand dollars
Page 1 1 ($15,000) per annum, payable in equal monthly installments
2 from the general fund of the county, and at that time Section
3 1 shall be repealed.
4 Section 3. This act shall become effective
5 immediately following its passage and approval by the
6 Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
