13 Relating to Montgomery County; to further provide
14 for the salary of the members of the Montgomery County
15 Commission by converting certain existing expense allowances
16 to salary.
17 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
18 Section 1. In Montgomery County, effective beginning
19 the next term of the county commission after the effective
20 date of this act, the salary of each member of the Montgomery
21 County Commission shall be increased by sixteen thousand
22 dollars ($16,000) per year and two existing unvouchered
23 expense allowances granted to each member of the county
24 commission equal to the same amount per year shall be repealed
25 and replaced by the salary increase provided in this section.
26 Section 2. Effective beginning the next term of the
27 Montgomery County Commission, Act 85-550 of the 1985 Regular
Page 1 1 Session (Acts 1985, p. 842), as amended by Act 2001-568 of the
2 2001 Regular Session (Acts 2001, p. 1144); and Act 2007-331 of
3 the 2007 Regular Session (Acts 2007, p. 587), are repealed.
4 Section 3. This act shall become effective
5 immediately following its passage and approval by the
6 Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
