13 Relating to Montgomery County; to authorize the
14 sheriff to conduct fundraising events; to provide for the use
15 of the proceeds; and to provide that this act is remedial and
16 curative.
17 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
18 Section 1. (a) In Montgomery County, the sheriff may
19 conduct fundraising events including, but not limited to,
20 rodeos and may use the proceeds and profits from the events
21 for any lawful purpose relating to the operation of the office
22 of sheriff.
23 (b) The provisions of this act are remedial and
24 curative and any actions taken by the sheriff in conformance
25 with subsection (a) are ratified and confirmed.
Page 1 1 Section 2. This act shall become effective
2 immediately following its passage and approval by the
3 Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
