8 CONGRATULATING THE CORNERSTONE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
9 LADY EAGLES VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAM ON WINNING THE 2022
10 ALABAMA CHRISTIAN ATHLETICS ASSOCIATION DIVISION 2A GIRLS
11 BASKETBALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

13 WHEREAS, it is with pride and pleasure that
14 commendations and congratulations are extended to the
15 Cornerstone Christian Academy Lady Eagles Varsity Basketball
16 Team on winning the 2022 Alabama Christian Athletics
17 Association Division 2A Girls Basketball State Championship
18 with a thrilling win of 68-43 over Tabernacle Christian
19 Academy; and
20 WHEREAS, this is the Cornerstone Christian Academy
21 Lady Eagles Varsity Basketball's crowning achievement of this
22 successful season and has brought honor to the Lady Eagles
23 basketball program, the school, and the community; and
24 WHEREAS, inspirational leadership and expert
25 training were provided by Head Coach Heather Harrison and
26 Assistant Coach Lori Culpepper; the talented roster included
27 Jacie Bell, Chloe Bell, Jana Tucker, Reagan Gatewood, Emily
Page 1 1 Couch, Laura Beth Wells, Shelby Harrison, Allison Nelson,
2 Jaelin Monroe, Caroline Yates, and Mackenzie Ely; and
3 WHEREAS, the success of this team is due to its
4 mastery of the fundamentals, excellent teamwork, and a strong
5 competitive spirit, as well as the enthusiastic support of the
6 players' parents and the school's administrators, faculty, and
7 students, along with the many loyal fans in the community; now
8 therefore,
9 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
10 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That the Cornerstone Christian
11 Academy Lady Eagles Varsity Basketball Team is honored and
12 commended for the outstanding achievement of winning the 2022
13 Alabama Christian Athletics Association Division 2A Girls
14 Basketball State Championship, and we hereby dedicate this
15 resolution to the team members and the coaches in heartiest
16 admiration, along with best wishes for continued success in
17 all future endeavors.
