8 COMMENDING REPRESENTATIVE CONNIE ROWE FOR
9 DISTINGUISHED LEGISLATIVE SERVICE.

11 WHEREAS, we note with utmost admiration and
12 appreciation the distinguished service of our friend and
13 colleague, Representative Connie Rowe, who has diligently
14 served the citizens of the State of Alabama and House District
15 13 in Blount and Walker Counties; and
16 WHEREAS, since becoming a member of the Alabama
17 State House of Representatives in 2014, Representative Rowe
18 has been actively involved in the legislative process through
19 her varied responsibilities; and
20 WHEREAS, Representative Rowe holds an Associate of
21 Arts Degree from Walker College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree
22 from The University of Alabama; she served on the Public
23 Safety and Homeland Security Judiciary, the Ways and Means
24 General Fund Committee, the Children and Senior Advocacy
25 Committee, and the Rules Committee; she is a retired Chief of
26 Police of Jasper, Alabama; recently, she was tapped to take
Page 1 1 the role of Senior Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Will
2 Ainsworth; and
3 WHEREAS, dedicated to her family, Representative
4 Rowe and her husband, John, have one son, M. Rivers Wells; and
5 WHEREAS, Representative Rowe's commitment to public
6 service is unsurpassed; we are privileged to have served with
7 this exemplary Alabama stateswoman; now therefore,
8 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
9 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That we hereby heartily commend
10 Representative Connie Rowe for her outstanding record of
11 service to the citizens of House District 13 and the State of
12 Alabama and for her invaluable contributions to this body over
13 the years; we direct that a copy of this resolution be
14 presented to Representative Rowe with our highest esteem and
15 appreciation.
