6 ENROLLED, An Act,
7 Relating to Jackson County; to further provide for
8 the expense allowance and salary of the Sheriff of Jackson
9 County.
10 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
11 Section 1. Commencing on the first day of the month
12 after the effective date of act, the Sheriff of Jackson County
13 Shall be entitled to an additional expense allowance in the
14 amount of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) per annum, which
15 shall be in addition to all other expense allowances,
16 compensation, or salary provided by law. This expense
17 allowance shall be payable in equal monthly installments from
18 the general fund of the county.
19 Section 2. Beginning with the expiration of the term
20 of the incumbent sheriff, the annual salary for the Sheriff of
21 Jackson County shall be increased by fifteen thousand dollars
22 ($15,000) per annum, payable in equal monthly installments
23 from the general fund of the county, and at that time Section
24 1 shall be repealed.

1 Section 3. This act shall become effective
2 immediately following its passage and approval by the
3 Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
