6 ENROLLED, An Act,
7 Relating to Etowah County; to abolish the office of
8 constable.
9 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
10 Section 1. In Etowah County, effective at the end of
11 the current term or upon the occurrence of a vacancy for any
12 reason in the office of constable in any election precinct,
13 the office of constable as provided for in Chapter 23 of Title
14 36, Code of Alabama 1975, is abolished.
15 Section 2. This act shall become effective
16 immediately following its passage and approval by the
17 Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
