FISCAL NOTE
Senate Bill 152 as amended and reported by the Committee on Ways and Means Education allows Alabama individual taxpayers' federal income tax deduction for the tax year ending on December 31, 2021 to be calculated pursuant to the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code in effect on December 31, 2020. This would prevent an increase in future income tax receipts into the Education Trust Fund by an undetermined amount dependent upon the difference in the amounts individual taxpayers would now pay pursuant to provisions of this bill and the amount they would otherwise have paid.
