13 Relating to Lee County; to amend Section 45-41-230
14 of the Code of Alabama 1975, to increase the salary of the
15 sheriff.
16 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
17 Section 1. Section 45-41-230 of the Code of Alabama
18 1975, is amended to read as follows:
19 "ยง45-41-230.
20 "(a) Pursuant to Amendment No. 362 of the
21 Constitution of Alabama of 1901, now appearing as Section 7 of
22 the Lee County Local Amendments of the Official Recompilation
23 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, as amended, the The
24 annual salary of the Sheriff of Lee County shall be one
25 hundred thousand seven hundred dollars ($100,700) one hundred
26 twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) which shall be paid in

2 employees.
3 "(b) The salary provided in this section shall be in
4 lieu of any other salary provided by general or local law."
5 Section 2. This act shall become effective on the
6 expiration of the term of the incumbent sheriff in January
7 2023.
