A BILL
TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
Relating to Tallapoosa County, to revise the salary of
the sheriff.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
Section 1. (a) Commencing on the first day of the month
immediately following the effective date of this act, the
Sheriff of Tallapoosa County shall be entitled to an
additional expense allowance in the amount of one thousand
seven hundred dollars ($1,700) per month, which shall be in
addition to all other expense allowances, compensation, or
salary provided by law. The expense allowance shall be payable
from the general fund of the county.
(b) Commencing with the next term of office, the
Sheriff of Tallapoosa County shall receive additional
compensation in the sum of twenty thousand four hundred
dollars ($20,400) per year payable in equal monthly
installments from the general fund of the county, at which
time the expense allowance described in subsection (a) shall
terminate.
Section 2. This act shall become effective immediately
following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its
