House Bill 177as reported by the Committee on Commerce and Small Business provides for the
conversion of certain municipal waterworks boards to regional boards, which could increase or decrease
the obligations of any converted boards by an undetermined amount dependent difference in the
membership of the regional boards and the original board and the associated travel and salary costs. This
bill could also increase the obligations of any such converted board by an undetermined amount
dependent on the cost of employing a chief executive office and having its financial statements
reviewed.
