House Bill 21as passed the House of Representatives could increase the administrative
obligations of law enforcement agencies and the Department of Forensic Sciences to annually
report certain data regarding sexual assault cases to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency
(ALEA).
In addition, this bill could increase the obligations of ALEA by an undetermined amount to
collect and store this data on sexual assault cases and to provide an annual summary report of
this information to the Chairs of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees.
