House Bill 289 as introduced could increase the administrative obligations of law enforcement
agencies to comply with the provisions of this bill regarding guidelines for the disclosure of
body-worn cameras and dashboard cameras recordings.
In addition, this bill could further increase the administrative obligations of the Alabama Law
Enforcement Agency to develop a recordings retention and disposition schedule for all law
enforcement agencies.
