House Bill 298 as passed the House of Representatives could increase the administrative
obligations of the Attorney General for the enforcement of certain consumer protections
regarding device filters provided by this bill; however, these obligations may be offset by any
civil penalties, attorney's fees, or investigation expenses that are recovered from violators of the
provisions of this act and retained by the Attorney General.
