House Bill 366 as introduced would add the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Space Force to the
list of service branches for which an active or retired member may be issued a military
distinctive license plate.
This bill would reduce receipts to the Department of Alabama Marine Corps League by an
estimated $108,000 annually, based on Fiscal Year 2022 data, by repealing the statute relating to
the issuance of U.S. Marine Corps distinctive license plates and the associated additional $25
fee for issuance to retired and honorably discharged Marines.
