House Bill 441 as reported by the Committee on Judiciary could increase receipts to (1) the
State General Fund, credited to the Office of the Attorney General, and (2) the Special Mental
Health Trust Fund by an undetermined amount dependent on the amount of registration and
licensing fees for the publication or access to certain material that is harmful to minors, as
provided by this bill, which fees shall be established by rule of, and collected by, the Consumer
Protection Division of the Office of the Attorney General, to be deposited equally to the funds
above.
This bill would also provide for the collection of civil penalties, up to $2,000 for each violation,
and the collection of reasonable attorneys fees and costs by the Attorney General.
