Senate Bill 258 as reported by the Committee on State Government could increase the
administrative obligations of the Department of Examiners of Public Accounts by an
undetermined amount to conduct audits or examinations of certain nonprofit water service
providers. However, any increase in obligations could be offset, wholly or in part, by reasonable
fees charged by the Department, as authorized by the provisions of this bill.
