Senate Bill 27 as reported by the committee on Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry would
exempt existing agricultural authorities from municipal ordinances and regulations unless the
board of an authority consents to any ordinances or regulations. This could increase the
administrative obligations of municipal governments by an undetermined amount for additional
regulation, subject to consent by an agriculture authority consenting to regulation.
