SB276INTRODUCED Page 0 93SZBB-1 By Senator Givhan (N & P) RFD: Madison County Legislation First Read: 02-May-23 2023 Regular Session 1 2 3 4 5 6 93SZBB-1 03/17/2023 KMS (L)cr 2023-851 Page 1 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT Relating to Madison County; to repeal Act 466 of the 1939 Regular Session and Act 435 of the 1978 Regular Session relating to the County Board of Barber Examiners; to abolish the County Board of Barber Examiners; and to provide that the practice of barbering in Madison County be regulated by the Alabama Board of Cosmetology and Barbering. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: Section 1. Upon the effective date of this act, the Madison County Board of Barber Examiners is abolished. Any person subject to Acts 466 of the 1939 Regular Session and Act 435 of the 1978 Regular Session, establishing the County Board of Barber Examiners shall instead be subject to the provisions of Chapter 7B of Title 34, Code of Alabama 1975, establishing the Alabama Board of Cosmetology and Barbering, except that any license issued by the County Board of Barber Examiners prior to the effective date of this act shall remain valid until its expiration date. Section 2.
