SYNOPSIS:
This bill would exempt U.S. Department of
Defense conferences and other events held in the state 
from compliance with state laws relating to public
health which conflict with a regulation, law, or
condition required by the Department of Defense for
attendance at the event.
A BILL
TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
Relating to public health; to exempt U.S. Department of
Defense events held in the state from any state public health
law if the law conflicts with a regulation, law, or condition
required by the Department of Defense to attend the event. 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
Section 1. Any state law relating to public health
shall not apply to any conference, convention, meeting,
symposium, exposition, or other event held in the state which
is sponsored by, or for the benefit of, the U.S. Department of
Defense, if the state law conflicts with a law, regulation, or
condition required by the Department of Defense as a condition
of attending the event.

Section 2. This act shall become effective on the first
day of the third month following its passage and approval by
the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
