Relating to Lamar County; to authorize the Judge of Probate of Lamar County to set and collect a mail fee for the renewal of motor vehicle license registrations and business licenses by mail or through the Internet.
Relating to sheriffs; to amend Act 2022-133, 2022 Regular Session, now appearing as Section 41-23-9, Code of Alabama 1975, to change the name of the Local Government Pistol Permit Revenue Loss Fund; to increase the life span of the fund; to further provide for expenditures from the fund; to further provide for the deposit and allocation of grant reimbursement monies; and to make nonsubstantive, technical revisions to update existing code language to current style.
Relating to state government; to require a state agency, department, or other governmental body, or a county or municipality, to consult the federal Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List before purchasing or acquiring an unmanned aircraft system; and to prohibit a governmental body, county, or municipality from purchasing or acquiring an unmanned aircraft system in certain circumstances.
Relating to first responders; to require certain benefits be made available to first responders suffering from work-related post-traumatic stress disorder; to make certain leave benefits available to employed first responders; and to have as its purpose or effect the requirement of a new or increased expenditure of local funds within the meaning of Section 111.05 of the Constitution of Alabama of 2022.
Relating to vaccinations; to prohibit an employer, a place of public accommodation, and an occupational licensing board from discriminating based on immunization status.
Relating to state, county, and municipal sales and use taxes; to exempt food pantries in Cullman County from all state, county, and municipal sales and use taxes for certain purchases.
Relating to civil procedure; to amend Sections 6-6-544 and 6-6-570, Code of Alabama 1975, to provide further for the recording of certain judgments concerning real property.
Relating to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board; to amend Sections 28-1-5, as amended by Act 2022-383, 2022 Regular Session, and 28-10-6 of the Code of Alabama 1975, to authorize an employee of a restaurant or hotel that is a restaurant or special retail licensee of the board to serve alcoholic beverages under the same specified conditions as an employee of a restaurant licensee; and to further provide for the forms and records of responsible vendor training.
Relating to Marion County; to amend Section 45-47-245.05, providing for the distribution of the proceeds of a local tobacco tax in the county, to further provide for the distribution of a portion of the proceeds to the Marion County Firefighters Association.
Relating to sales tax exemptions; to amend Section 40-23-4, Code of Alabama 1975, as last amended by Acts 2022-199, 2022-291, 2022-293, and 2022-373, 2022 Regular Session, to exempt from sales tax the gross proceeds from the sale of materials to be used as fencing in agriculture livestock applications.
Relating to employment, to amend Section 25-1-30, Code of Alabama 1975, to prohibit an employer from requesting the wage history of a prospective employee except under certain circumstances.
