House Bill 390 as passed the House of Representatives would transfer certain responsibilities
regarding the licensure and regulation of the cultivation of cannabis from the Alabama
Department of Agriculture and Industries (AGI) to the Alabama Medical Cannabis Commission
(AMCC) which would increase the obligations of the AMCC by an estimated $195,000 annually
to inspect cultivators and correspondingly decrease the obligations of the AGI by an estimated
$195,000 annually.
