House Bill 98 as introduced proposes an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama 2022 that,
if ratified, would provide for the fundamental right of every parent to direct the upbringing,
education, care, and control of their children. This bill would increase the proclamation
expenses of the Governor, paid from the State General Fund, by an estimated $100,000 for the
fiscal year ending September 30, 2025.
