House Bill 180 as reported by the Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs could decrease
receipts to certain counties and municipalities by an undetermined amount dependent upon the
amount of solid waste collection fees not collected from certain households whose sole income
is veterans' benefits, as provided by this bill. This bill could also increase the obligations of
certain counties and municipalities by an undetermined amount dependent on the amount of fees
exempted, as provided by this bill, that are required to be remitted by the locality to entities
providing solid waste collection services to the exempted households.
