House Bill 182 as passed the House of Representatives would extend the current quarterly
assessment on emergency medical transport (EMT) providers that will expire on July 1, 2025 to
July 1, 2028. In fiscal year 2024, $8.6 million in EMT providers' assessments were deposited
into the Alabama Health Care Trust Fund for the Alabama Medicaid Agency.
