House Bill 264 as passed the House of Representatives would increase receipts to the State
Water Safety Fund by an estimated $794,000 from the additional $15 fee assessed for failure to
properly register or renew registration for a vessel on time. This bill would also combine: (1) the
existing vessel registration fees that are based on length; and (2) the existing additional $5
registration fee deposited into the State Reservoir Management Grant Fund into a single fee.
