House Bill 332 as reported by the Committee on Education Policy would codify existing rule of
the State Department of Education to require public school students, beginning with graduates
of the 2030-2031 school year, to earn at least one credit in a department approved computer
science course. This bill could increase the administrative obligations of the department to
ensure that computer science courses meet certain instructional criteria.
