House Bill 460

House Bill 460 as passed the House of Representatives would appropriate a total of
$41,059,071 from the Opioid Treatment and Abatement Fund for fiscal year 2025 to the
following entities in the following amounts:
Department of Corrections: $900,000;
Board of Pardons and Paroles: $120,000;
Department of Mental Health: $27,860,000;
Auburn University: $1 million;
University of Alabama at Birmingham: $1 million;
USA Health University of South Alabama: $1 million;
Department of Public Health: $500,000;
Administrative Office of Courts for Mental Health: $3 million;
Department of Veterans Affairs: $1.5 million;
Department of Human Resources: $500,000
Office of Prosecution Services: $2.6 million;
Department of Forensic Sciences: $800,000; and
Department of Senior Services: $279,071.
This bill would also provide that these funds would not revert at the end of fiscal year 2025 but
would be carried forward for the purposes appropriated.
