House Bill 474 as reported by the Committee on Judiciary could increase the administrative
obligations of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency to develop a procedure for
processing an affidavit for local law enforcement agencies pursuant to the provisions of this bill.
In addition, this bill provides that fees collected by local law enforcement for processing
affidavits for removal of individuals from certain places may be deposited into the sheriff's
discretionary account or the general fund of the municipality, as applicable, to be used for law
enforcement purposes.
