House Bill 501 as introduced would authorize the Legislative Council to contract for the
demolition of the current State House which would increase the obligations of the Legislature by
an undetermined amount dependent upon the amount of such contract.
This bill could also increase receipts to the State General Fund by an undetermined amount
dependent on the amount of any funds received from the sale of certain items from the current
State House.
