House Bill 562as reported by the Committee on State Government would increase the
administrative obligations of the Office of the State Auditor to: (1) adjust every four years, and
notify agency property managers, of any increases in the threshold value of state property to be
inventoried; and (2) establish the Division of Investigations to investigate instances of lost or
stolen damaged state property owned by state entities. According to the State Auditor, these
additional duties would not require any additional funding.
