HR____ HONORING MRS. HARRIET CLARK FOR 40 YEARS OF
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, THE
HUNTSVILLE MADISON COUNTY COMMUNITY, AND THE STATE OF
ALABAMA.
WHEREAS, the State of Alabama recognizes and honors
individuals who have dedicated their lives to public
service, contributing to the strength and progress of our
nation and the local community; and 
WHEREAS, Harriet Clark has faithfully served the
United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command
(USASMDC) for an outstanding 40 years, demonstrating an
unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity; and
WHEREAS, through her dedication, expertise, and
professionalism, Mrs. Clark has played a vital role in
advancing the mission of USASMDC, ensuring the security and
defense of our nation through her contributions; and
WHEREAS, her work and leadership have had a lasting
impact on her colleagues, the defense community, and the
residents of Huntsville, inspiring others to follow in her
footsteps in public service and national defense; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Clark's four decades of government
service exemplify the highest standards of duty, patriotism,
and selflessness, leaving behind a legacy that will be
remembered for years to come; and

remembered for years to come; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Clark has also dedicated four decades
to the advancement and well-being of the Huntsville
Community; she has exemplified unwavering commitment to
civil rights and social justice through her involvement with
the National Association for the Advancement of Colored
People (NAACP); and 
WHEREAS, she has extended her leadership and service
through active participation in esteemed organizations,
including The National Coalition of 100 Black Women and The
Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, also known as "The Boulé"; and
WHEREAS, her philanthropic endeavors encompass
support for various charitable causes, notably: the Patricia
Haley Charity, a Huntsville-based nonprofit providing free
services and resources to cancer patients, the elderly, and
families facing financial hardship; Compassion
International, an organization dedicated to releasing
children from poverty worldwide; and the Manna House of
Huntsville, a local initiative involved in programs such as
providing meals for school children; and 
WHEREAS, Mrs. Clark's leadership has resulted in the
initiation of vital community projects, the holding of
significant leadership positions, the receipt of prestigious
awards, and the influencing of important policy changes, all
of which have contributed to the betterment of Huntsville
and its residents; now therefore, 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That Harriet Clark is hereby
recognized and commended for her extraordinary 40 years of

recognized and commended for her extraordinary 40 years of
dedicated government service and her outstanding
contributions, visionary leadership, and steadfast
dedication to improving global society and promoting
universal human rights.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this
resolution be presented to Mrs. Harriet Clark as a token of
our deepest appreciation and esteem for her four decades of
distinguished service, which have left an indelible mark on
the City of Huntsville, the State of Alabama, and our Nation
that will inspire generations to come.
