HR____ CONGRATULATING THE PIKE LIBERAL ARTS SCHOOL
CHEERLEADING SQUAD ON WINNING THE 2025 UCA NATIONAL HIGH
SCHOOL CHEERLEADING CHAMPIONSHIP.
WHEREAS, the Alabama House of Representatives takes
great pride in recognizing outstanding accomplishments by
our state's students and athletes; and 
WHEREAS, the Pike Liberal Arts School Cheerleading
Squad achieved remarkable success at the UCA National High
School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC), which was held
from February 7-10, 2025, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports
Complex, Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, Florida, by
winning its second National Championship in school history;
this is a testament to the collective student athletes'
exceptional skill, hard work, and dedication; and
WHEREAS, the squad finished first overall with a
score of 94.3 with zero deductions in the Small Varsity
Division II Gameday Division, beating out 62 other teams
from across the country that competed at Nationals; and 
WHEREAS, in addition to winning a national
championship, Pike Varsity Cheer also won the Alabama High
School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Cheerleading
Championship held November 20, 2024, at Bill Harris Arena in
Birmingham, Alabama; and
WHEREAS, to qualify for the state competition, Pike

WHEREAS, to qualify for the state competition, Pike
Cheer competed at the AHSAA South Super Regional in Mobile,
Alabama, November 7, 2024, where they were named the 2A
Champions in the Traditional Division in addition to being
named the 2A Champions for the Game Day Division; and 
WHEREAS, the outstanding members of the 2025
championship squad include Captain Sydney Scott, Co-Captain
Allyn Wilson, Nikki Hopper, Kenzie Beth Ray, Caroline
Renfroe, Kinsley Simmons, Heidi Reagan, Allie Booth, Sarah
Sanders, Mary Tyler Webb, Meg Gardner, Ansleigh Kilcrease,
Reagan Sanders, Lucy Webb, and Andie Kate Winegarden; and
WHEREAS, additional regional and state squad members
are Casidee Boone, Sara Gray Baker, Carys Pittman, Addi
Grace Maulden, Julianna Knight, Addi Cox, Molly Kate
Johnson, Ella Kate Kendrick, Elly Rountree, Graelyn Sanders,
Charlee Kate Smith, Chloe Reagan, Annabella Frailey, and
Team Manager Kate Reeves; and
WHEREAS, the team has been expertly coached and
inspired by Head Coach Katie Scott and assistant coaches
Tara Morelock and Brittany Royal, who have provided
unparalleled leadership and encouragement; and
WHEREAS, the Pike Liberal Arts School cheerleaders'
achievements are a tremendous source of pride for their
families, classmates, teachers, principal, and the entire
community, whose dedication and support have played a
crucial role in motivating the squad; now therefore, 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the Pike Liberal Arts School
Cheerleading Squad is hereby commended and congratulated on

Cheerleading Squad is hereby commended and congratulated on
their outstanding accomplishments and victory at the UCA
National High School Cheerleading Championship.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this
resolution be provided to the squad and coaching staff as a
token of our highest esteem and best wishes for continued
success in all future endeavors.
