Senate Bill 102as passed the Senate would increase the obligations of the Alabama Medicaid
Agency by an agency-estimated $1 million annually for fiscal years 2026, 2027, and 2028,
consisting of $726,300 in federal funds and $273,700 in state funds, by providing certain
prenatal coverage to women found presumptively eligible by a qualified provider.
Further, this bill would increase the administrative obligations of the agency to adopt rules and
develop forms for use by qualified providers to determine presumptive eligibility.
