Senate Bill 191 as reported by the Committee on Healthcare would increase the obligations of
the Alabama Department of Public Health by a department-estimated $500,000 in fiscal year
2026 to develop and publish written materials to educate health care professionals about
maternal mental health and $150,000 each fiscal year thereafter to continue to distribute these
materials with updated information pursuant to the provisions of this bill.
