Senate Bill 280 as introduced would increase the obligations of the Education Trust Fund to
provide necessary funding to the State Department of Education to support: (1) the creation of a
uniform digital platform to consolidate the required documentation of various educational
programs with the assistance of local boards; (2) the development and implementation
beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, a system of data sharing between the various
educational programs; (3) review and audit all paperwork requirements annually; and (4)
conduct annual audits to ensure local boards of education compliance with the provisions of this
bill.
