A BILL
TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
Relating to Lauderdale County; to alter, rearrange, and
extend the boundary lines and corporate limits of the City of
Florence in Lauderdale County.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
Section 1. The boundary lines and corporate limits of
the City of Florence in Lauderdale County are altered and
rearranged to include within the corporate limits of the
municipality, in addition to the lands now included, all of
the following territory:
Parcel
Being a parcel of land located in the Southeast 1/4 of
Section 25, Township 2 South, Range 11 West, and the Northeast
1/4 of Section 36, Township 2 South, Range 11 West, and the
South 1/2 of Section 30, Township 2 South, Range 10 West, and
the North 1/2 of Section 31, Township 2 South, Range 10 West,
Lauderdale County, Alabama, being further described as:
Beginning at a point on the southeast corner of parcel
no. 16-09-30-0-001-009.000, said point being on the north part
of the 60 foot right-of-way line of Gresham Road and on the
west right-of-way line of County Road 61; thence south 60 feet
crossing Gresham Road to a point on the south part of the 60
foot right-of-way line of Gresham Road; thence westwardly

foot right-of-way line of Gresham Road; thence westwardly
along said south right-of-way line (following a curve on the
west end of Gresham Road) a distance of 6,153 feet to a point
(said point being on the north right-of-way line of AL Hwy
133); thence northwest 60 feet along said AL Hwy 133
right-of-way line crossing Gresham Road to a point on the
north part of the 60 foot right-of-way line of Gresham Road;
thence north and eastwardly along said right-of-way line
(following a curve on the west end of Gresham Road) a distance
of 6,233 feet to the point of beginning.
Said parcel to convey a 60 foot wide right-of-way along
Gresham Road from AL Hwy 133 going east to County Road 61.
Section 2. In accordance with Section 11-42-6 of the
Code of Alabama 1975, a map showing the proposed territory to
be altered, rearranged, and extended from the City of Florence
is on file and open to public inspection in the office of the
Judge of Probate in Lauderdale County, Alabama.
Section 3. This act shall become effective on October
1, 2025.
