Senate Bill 42 as reported by the Committee on Transportation, Utilities, and Infrastructure
could increase ad valorem tax receipts collected and distributed to the Public School Fund, the
State General Fund, the Veterans' Assistance Fund, and the Alabama Historical Commission by
a small, undetermined amount dependent on the value of properties deeded back to landowners
pursuant to the provisions of this bill. This bill could also increase the administrative obligations
of the Department of Transportation to administer the provisions of this bill.
