Senate Bill 83 as introduced would increase the obligations of the state and local entities
constructing new or renovating existing public restrooms where the cost to renovate is at least
$500,000, by an estimated minimum of $15,000 to provide for: (1) the installation of an
adult-size changing table; and (2) signage indicating the location of the restrooms with the
changing table.
The increased obligations of the state and local entities installing the adult-size changing tables,
could be offset by grant funds made available via legislative appropriation.
