BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 21

SECTION 1. DO NOT CODIFY. TEMPORARY LANGUAGE. Cost-of-living 23
adjustment for certain county officials. 24
(a) On January 1, 2024, in lieu of the three percent (3%) per annum 25
required to be added to the minimum and maximum salaries and per diems of 26
elected county officers as a cost -of-living adjustment under § 14 -14-1210(a), 27
a one-time ten percent (10%) cost -of-living adjustment shall be added to the 28
minimum and maximum salaries and per diems of elected county officers. 29
(b) On January 1, 2024, in lieu of the three percent (3%) per annum 30
required to be added to the maximum per diem compensation of justices of the 31
peace as a cost-of-living adjustment under § 14 -14-1210(b), a one-time ten 32
percent (10%) cost-of-living adjustment shall be added to the maximum per 33
diem compensation of justices of the peace. 34
