BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 19

SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 23 -112-308(a)(25), concerning the 21
unauthorized use of a temporary cardboard buyer's tag assigned to a dealer, 22
is amended to read as follows: 23
(25) Using or permitting the use of a: 24
(A) temporary Temporary cardboard preprinted paper buyer's 25
tag assigned to the dealer for any purpose other than permitted under § 27 -26
14-1705; or 27
(B) Dealer's extra license plate by an authorized or 28
unauthorized user for any purpose other than permitted under § 27 -14-1704; 29

SECTION 2. Arkansas Code § 23 -112-317(c)(1), concerning motor vehicle 32
service and handling fees, is amended to read as follows: 33
(c)(1)(A) The Arkansas Motor Vehicle Commission shall determine by 34
rule the amount of the service and handling fee that may be charged by a 35
motor vehicle dealer. The service and handling fee shall be no less than 36 HB1834

zero dollars ($0.00) and no more than one hundred twenty -nine dollars ($129). 1
(B) The service and handling fee under subdivision 2
(c)(1)(A) of this section shall not exceed the reasonable costs of: 3
(i) The handling, processing, and storage of 4
documents; and 5
(ii) Other administrative and clerical services. 6
