TO RECOGNIZE BENTONVILLE'S INVESTMENT IN CYCLING AND 9 
ITS TITLE AS THE MOUNTAIN BIKING CAPITAL OF THE 10

CYCLING AND ITS TITLE AS THE MOUNTAIN 16 
BIKING CAPITAL OF THE WORLD. 17

 WHEREAS, the City of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Visit Bentonville have 19 
demonstrated a steadfast commitment to cycling through strategic investments 20 
in trails, infrastructure, marketing, and community engagement; and 21 
 22 
 WHEREAS, Bentonville has established itself as a premier global 23 
destination for mountain biking, proclaimed in the title of Mountain Biking 24 
Capital of the World because of its world -class trail systems, diverse 25 
terrain, seamless connectivity, unparalleled accessibility, and innovative 26 
cycling initiatives; and 27 
 28 
 WHEREAS, Bentonville, in collaboration with organizations such as City 29 
of Bentonville Parks and Recreation, the Runway Group, LLC, Trailblazers, 30 
Friends of Arkansas Singletrack, and local businesses, has developed and 31 
maintained over eighty (80) miles of trails and has connected its trail 32 
systems to over four hundred (400) miles of purpose -built mountain biking 33 
trails in the region, contributing to the economic, social, and environmental 34 
vitality of the region; and 35

 WHEREAS, Bentonville’s investment in cycling infrastructure has 1 
fostered a vibrant outdoor recreation industry, attracting visitors, 2 
businesses, and events that contribute significantly to tourism, economic 3 
development, and community wellness; and 4

 WHEREAS, Bentonville and Visit Bentonville are dedicated to cycling, 6 
which has led to national and international recognition in the form of 7 
hosting prestigious events, attracting elite athletes, and inspiring 8 
communities around the world to invest in active transportation and outdoor 9 
recreation; and 10 
 11 
 WHEREAS, Bentonville’s leadership and partnerships with cycling 12 
innovation have influenced city planning, sustainability efforts, and 13 
mobility solutions, serving as a model for other communities seeking to 14 
integrate cycling into their urban and rural landscapes, 15 
 16 
NOW THEREFORE, 17 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES , THE SENATE CONCURRING 18 
THEREIN, OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 19

 THAT the House of Representatives , the Senate concurring therein, 21 
support the City of Bentonville as it reaffirms its commitment to cycling by 22 
continuing to invest in trail development, community engagement, and 23 
sustainability initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents and 24 
visitors alike. 25

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the House of Representatives , the Senate 27 
concurring therein, support the City of Bentonville as it celebrates its 28 
designation as the Mountain Biking Capital of the World, recognizing the 29 
contributions of trail builders, cycling advocates, local businesses, and 30 
community members who have played a pivotal role in this achievement. 31

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the House of Representatives , the Senate 33 
concurring therein, support the City of Bentonville as it continues to 34 
promote and expand its cycling culture, ensuring that future generations 35

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 3
