Hammer 5 By: Representative Hawk 6 7 For An Act To Be Entitled 8 AN ACT TO AMEND THE ELECTION LAWS OF THE STATE OF 9 ARKANSAS; TO AMEND ARKANSAS LAW CONCERNING NOTICES 10 RELATED TO THE ELECTION PROCESS; AND FOR OTHER 11 PURPOSES. 12 13 14 Subtitle 15 TO AMEND THE ELECTION LAWS OF THE STATE 16 OF ARKANSAS; AND TO AMEND ARKANSAS LAW 17 CONCERNING NOTICES RELATED TO THE 18 ELECTION PROCESS. 19 20 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 21 22 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 7 -4-102(b)(2)(A), concerning the election 23 of members to a county board of election commissioners, is amended to read as 24 follows: 25 (2)(A) Upon receipt of the notice under subdivision (b)(1) of 26 this section, the county clerk shall send to notify each of the county 27 election commissioners , by registered mail, in writing within thirty (30) 28 days of selection as a county election commissioner , a notice of the 29 requirement to take and subscribe to the oath prescribed by the Arkansas 30 Constitution. 31 32 SECTION 2.
