CERTAIN INSTANCES. 19

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 21

SECTION 1. Arkansas Code Title 14, Chapter 234, Subchapter 1, is 23
amended to add an additional section to read as follows: 24
14-234-123. Service to county property within the boundaries of a 25
municipality required. 26
(a) A municipality that owns or operates a waterworks system shall 27
provide services to any property owned by the county located within the 28
boundaries of the municipality at the request of the county judge. 29
(b) The county shall provide payment for: 30
(1) Costs associated with the connection to the waterworks 31
system operated by the municipality for the property owned by the county; and 32
(2) Services at the rates charged to other customers of the 33
waterworks system. 34

(a) A municipality that owns or operates a sewage collection system or 4
a sewage treatment plant under this subchapter shall provide services to any 5
property owned by the county located within the boundaries of the 6
municipality at the request of the county judge. 7
(b) The county shall provide payment for: 8
(1) Costs associated with the connection to the sewage 9
collection system or sewage treatment plant operated by the municipality for 10
the property owned by the county; and 11
(2) Services at the rates charged to other customers of the 12
sewage collection system. 13
