TO RECOGNIZE THE BRYANT HORNETS FOOTBALL TEAM AS THE 9 
CLASS 7A STATE CHAMPIONS. 10

TO RECOGNIZE THE BRYANT HORNETS FOOTBALL 14 
TEAM AS THE CLASS 7A STATE CHAMPIONS. 15

 WHEREAS, the Bryant Hornets bested the Bentonville Tigers to take the 17 
Class 7A state football title for the sixth time in the past seven (7) years, 18 
with a score of 28-23 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Arkansas, on 19 
Saturday, December 7, 2024; and 20 
 21 
 WHEREAS, the Hornets finished the season with thirteen (13) wins and 22 
zero (0) losses; and 23 
 24 
 WHEREAS, Hornets quarterback Jordan Walker was awarded Most Valuable 25 
Player, rushing twenty (20) times for one hundred fifty -five (155) yards, 26 
completing nine (9) of eighteen (18) passes for one hundred twenty -two (122) 27 
yards, and scoring four (4) touchdowns; and 28 
 29 
 WHEREAS, Jordan Walker played in the past four (4) Class 7A state 30 
championship games for the Hornets, with the team winning three (3) of the 31 
four (4) championship games; and 32

 WHEREAS, Hornets center Garrett Patterson earned the Brandon Burlsworth 34 
Player of the Game award; and 35

 WHEREAS, after five (5) years as defensive coordinator, Quad Sanders 1 
made his first appearance at the championship game as head coach of the 2 
Hornets, 3

NOW THEREFORE, 5 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY -FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE 6 
STATE OF ARKANSAS:  7 
 8 
 THAT the Senate congratulate and recognize the Bryant Hornets football 9 
team as the Class 7A state champions. 10 
 11 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption of this resolution, a copy be 12 
provided to Head Coach Quad Sanders by the Secretary of the Senate. 13
