NATIONAL FFA WEEK. 18

WHEREAS, the National FFA Organization and agricultural education 20
provide a strong foundation for the youth of America and the future of the 21
food, fiber, and natural resources systems; and 22
23
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Division of the Future Farmers of America 24
officers and the National FFA Organization officers serve as role models who 25
inspire and encourage members to achieve premier leadership, personal growth, 26
and career success; and 27

WHEREAS, the Arkansas Division of the Future Farmers of America 29
currently has seventeen thousand five hundred three (17,503) members, with 30
two hundred seventeen (217) local chapters and three hundred thirty -five 31
(335) advisors; and 32

WHEREAS, agricultural education and the National FFA Organization 34
ensure a steady supply of young professionals to meet growing demand in the 35
field of the science, business, and technology of agriculture; and 36 SR23

WHEREAS, the motto of the National FFA Organization, "Learning to Do, 2
Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve", gives direction and 3
purpose to students who actively pursue excellence in agricultural education; 4

WHEREAS, the National FFA Organization and the Arkansas Division of the 7
Future Farmers of America promote citizenship, volunteerism, patriotism, and 8
cooperation; and 9

WHEREAS, National FFA Week will be celebrated during February 15 -22, 11

NOW THEREFORE, 14
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY -FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE 15
STATE OF ARKANSAS: 16

THAT the Senate recognize the importance and positive work of the 18
National FFA Organization, commend the Arkansas Division of the Future 19
Farmers of America officers and the National FFA Organization officers for 20
their leadership, and recognize February 15 -22, 2025, as National FFA Week. 21

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be 23
provided to the Arkansas Division of the Future Farmers of America and the 24
National FFA Organization by the Secretary of the Senate. 25
